2018 QS World University Rankings    [Date Added : 06/18/2017 ]
Once again, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology tops the QS World University Ranking. The top-three universities are MIT, Stanford University and Harvard University.

Although American and British universities account for almost one-half (47) of the top-100 ranked universities, countries that are beginning to invest heavily in higher education have made significant progress in the World University Rankings.

Singapore's Nanyang Technical University, Asia's top-ranked university, moved up two places to 11th place, and there are six Chinese universities in this year's top-100 - two more than in last year's ranking. Hong Kong has five universities in the top-100 for the first time; Hong Kong's highest ranked representative is the University of Hong Kong, which moved up one place to 26th.

The top-10 universities in the world are (2017 rankings in parentheses):
