2016 Asian Most Admired Knowledge Enterprises (MAKE) Winners Announced    [Date Added : 11/01/2016 ]
Teleos, in association with The KNOW Network, has announced the 16 Winners of the 2016 Asian Most Admired Knowledge Enterprises (MAKE) study. Infosys Limited has been recognized as the Overall Asian MAKE Winner for the first time.

A panel of Asian-based Fortune 500 senior executives and internationally recognized knowledge management / intellectual capital experts selected the Winners. The panel rated organizations against the MAKE framework of eight key knowledge performance dimensions - visible drivers of competitive advantage and intellectual capital growth:

- Creating an enterprise knowledge-driven culture
- Developing knowledge workers through senior management leadership
- Innovation
- Maximizing enterprise intellectual capital
- Creating an enterprise collaborative knowledge sharing environment
- Creating a learning organization
- Delivering value based on customer/stakeholder knowledge
- Transforming enterprise knowledge into shareholder/stakeholder value

This year 45 Asian-headquartered organizations received nominations, and from this group 29 enterprises were recognized as 2016 Asian MAKE Finalists.

The Asian MAKE Conference and Awards Ceremony, organized by the Knowledge Management and Innovation Research Centre (KMIRC) of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, will be held in Hong Kong on January 12, 2017.

2016 Asian MAKE Hall of Fame

Over the past 15 years, only 76 organizations have been recognized as Asian MAKE Winners. Samsung SDS is the only organization which has been recognized as an Asian MAKE Winner every year since the Asian MAKE research study began in 2002.

An even more select group of organizations form the 2016 Asian MAKE Hall of Fame. These 12 organizations have been Asian MAKE Finalists in each of the past five annual studies: Arup Hong Kong, eClerx Services, Infosys Limited, Korea Water Resources Corporation, Samsung Electronics, Samsung SDS, Singapore Armed Forces, Tata Consultancy Services, Toyota Motor Corporation, United Tractors, Wipro Limited and Woods Bagot.

The 2016 Asian MAKE Winners (in alphabetical order) are:

Afcons Infrastructure Limited (India)

The 2016 Asian MAKE panel has recognized Afcons Infrastructure Limited for transforming enterprise knowledge into shareholder/stakeholder value (first place). This is the first time that Afcons Infrastructure Limited has been recognized as an Asian MAKE Winner.

Arup Hong Kong (Hong Kong SAR, China)

The 2016 Asian MAKE panel has recognized Arup Hong Kong for developing new products/services/solutions (first place). This is the sixth time Arup Hong Kong has been recognized as an Asian MAKE Winner.

BINUS University (Indonesia)

The 2016 Asian MAKE panel has recognized BINUS University for maximizing enterprise intellectual capital. This is the second time that BINUS University has been an Asian MAKE Winner.

COFCO Corporation Nutrition and Health Research Institute (China)

The 2016 Asian MAKE panel has recognized COFCO Corporation Nutrition and Health Research Institute for developing new knowledge-based products/services/solutions. This is the second time that the COFCO Corporation Nutrition and Health Research Institute has been recognized as an Asian MAKE Winner.

eClerx Services (India)

The 2016 Asian MAKE panel has recognized eClerx Services for developing knowledge workers through senior management leadership. This is the fourth time that eClerx Services has been recognized as an Asian MAKE Winner.

Hong Kong Police Force (Hong Kong SAR, China)

The 2016 Asian MAKE panel has recognized Hong Kong Police Force for creating a learning organization. This is the third time the Hong Kong Police Force has been recognized as an Asian MAKE Winner.

Infosys Limited (India) – Overall 2016 Asian MAKE Winner

The 2016 Asian MAKE panel has recognized Infosys Limited for developing knowledge workers through senior management leadership (first place), maximizing enterprise intellectual capital (first place), and managing customer/stakeholder knowledge (first place). Infosys Limited is a 14-time Asian MAKE Winner.

Korea Water Resources Corporation (S. Korea)

The 2016 Asian MAKE panel has recognized Korea Water Resources Corporation for maximizing enterprise intellectual capital. This is the ninth consecutive year that K-water has been an Asian MAKE Winner.

New Oriental Education & Technology Group (China)

The 2016 Asian MAKE panel has recognized the New Oriental Education & Technology Group for creating an enterprise knowledge-driven culture. This is the first time that the New Oriental Education & Technology Group has been recognized as an Asian MAKE Winner.

Samsung SDS (S. Korea)

The 2016 Asian MAKE panel recognized Samsung SDS for creating a learning organization. Samsung SDS is a 15-times Asian MAKE Winner (including 2007, 2009 and 2012 Overall Asian MAKE Winner).

Singapore Armed Forces (Republic of Singapore Government)

The 2016 Asian MAKE panel has recognized the Singapore Armed Forces for developing knowledge workers through senior management leadership, developing and delivering new products/services/solutions, and maximizing enterprise intellectual capital. This is the seventh consecutive year that the Singapore Armed Forces has been recognized as an Asian MAKE Winner (including 2010, 2014 and 2015 Overall Asian MAKE Winner).

Tata Consultancy Services (India)

The 2016 Asian MAKE panel has recognized Tata Consultancy Services for collaborative enterprise knowledge sharing, creating a learning organization, and transforming enterprise knowledge into shareholder value. Tata Consultancy Services is a 12-time Asian MAKE Winner.

Tech Mahindra (India)

The 2016 Asian MAKE panel has recognized the Tech Mahindra for maximizing enterprise intellectual capital. This is the second consecutive year that the Tech Mahindra has been recognized as an Asian MAKE Winner.

The Titan Company (India)

The 2016 Asian MAKE panel has recognized The Titan Company for transforming enterprise knowledge into shareholder/stakeholder value. This is the third consecutive year that The Titan Company has been recognized as an Asian MAKE Winner.

Toyota Motor Corporation (Japan)

The 2016 Asian MAKE panel has recognized Toyota Motor Corporation for creating an enterprise knowledge-driven culture (first place). Toyota is a 14-time Asian MAKE Winner (including 2002-2006 and 2013 Overall Asian MAKE Winner).

Wipro Limited (India) )

The 2016 Asian MAKE panel recognized Wipro Limited for creating a learning organization (first place). It is the 14th consecutive year that Wipro Limited has been recognized as an Asian MAKE Winner.
