2015 Global Independent Operating Unit (IOU) MAKE Winners Named    [Date Added : 12/01/2015 ]
Teleos, in association with The KNOW Network, has announced the Winners of the 6th annual Global Most Admired Knowledge Enterprises (MAKE) Awards for Independent Operating Units. Part of the annual Global MAKE study, this category recognizes Independent Operating Units which form part of a larger organization - including individual companies, divisions, business units, agencies and departments. The Tata Consultancy Services has been named the Overall Global IOU MAKE Winner for the first time. Past Overall Global IOU MAKE Winners include Larsen & Toubro Hydrocarbon IC, Samsung SDS and Singapore Armed Forces.

A panel of Global Fortune 500 senior executives and internationally-recognized knowledge management/intellectual capital/innovation/organizational learning experts selected the 2015 Global IOU MAKE Winners. The panel rated organizations against the MAKE framework of eight key knowledge performance dimensions which are the visible drivers of competitive advantage. The 2015 Global IOU MAKE Winners have been recognized as leaders in:

- Creating an enterprise knowledge-driven culture
- Developing knowledge workers through senior management leadership
- Innovation
- Maximizing enterprise intellectual capital
- Creating an enterprise collaborative knowledge sharing environment
- Creating a learning organization
- Delivering value based on customer/stakeholder knowledge

2015 Global Independent Operating Unit (IOU) MAKE Hall of Fame

Over the past six annual studies, only 31 organizations have been recognized as Global IOU MAKE Winners. An even more select group of organizations form the 2015 Global IOU MAKE Hall of Fame. These three organizations have been Global IOU MAKE Finalists in each of the past five annual studies: Samsung SDS, Singapore Armed Forces, and Tata Consultancy Services.

Architectural Services Department (Government of Hong Kong) Hong Kong SAR, China

The Architectural Services Department is cited in this year’s Global IOU MAKE study for creating an enterprise knowledge-driven culture (first place), and developing knowledge leaders and workers (first place). This is the first time that the Architectural Services Department has been recognized as a Global IOU MAKE Winner.

Arup Hong Kong (Arup Group) Hong Kong SAR, China

Arup Hong Kong is recognized in this year’s Global IOU MAKE study for creating value based on stakeholder knowledge. This is the first time that Arup Hong Kong has been recognized as a Global IOU MAKE Winner.

Atos IT Solutions (Atos) Germany

The 2015 Global IOU MAKE panel has recognized Atos IT Solutions for transforming enterprise knowledge into shareholder/stakeholder value. This is the first time that Atos IT Solutions has been recognized as a Global IOU MAKE Winner.

COFCO Corporation Nutrition and Health Research Institute (Government of China) China

The 2015 Global IOU MAKE panel has recognized the COFCO Corporation Nutrition and Health Research Institute for maximizing its enterprise intellectual capital. This is the first time that the COFCO Corporation Nutrition and Health Research Institute has been recognized as a Global IOU MAKE Winner.

EY, Hong Kong (Ernst & Young) Hong Kong SAR, China

EY, Hong Kong is cited in this year’s Global IOU MAKE study for maximizing its enterprise intellectual capital (first place). This is the first time that EY, Hong Kong has been recognized as a Global IOU MAKE Winner.

Korea Water Resources Corporation (Republic of Korea Government) S. Korea

The 2015 Global IOU MAKE panel has recognized the Korea Water Resources Corporation (K-water) for creating an enterprise knowledge-driven culture. This is the third consecutive year that K-water has been recognized as a Global IOU MAKE Winner.

Samsung Electronics (Samsung Group) S. Korea

The 2015 Global IOU MAKE panel has recognized Samsung Electronics for creating value based on stakeholder knowledge. This is the fourth consecutive year that Samsung Electronics has been recognized as a Global IOU MAKE Winner.

Samsung SDS (Samsung Group) S. Korea

Samsung SDS is cited in this year’s Global IOU MAKE study for creating a learning organization. Samsung SDS is a six-time Global IOU MAKE Winner, including Overall Global IOU MAKE Winner (2010).

Singapore Armed Forces (Republic of Singapore Government) Singapore

The 2015 Global IOU MAKE panel has recognized the Singapore Armed Forces for creating a learning organization. The Singapore Armed Forces is a five-time Global IOU MAKE Winner, including Overall Global IOU MAKE Winner (2012-2014).

Tata Consultancy Services (Tata Group) India

Tata Consultancy Services is recognized in this year’s Global IOU MAKE study for creating value based on stakeholder knowledge (first place). Tata Consultancy Services is a six-time Global IOU MAKE Winner, including Overall Global IOU MAKE Winner (2015).

TELKOM Indonesia (Indonesia Government majority owned) Indonesia

The 2015 Global IOU MAKE panel recognized TELKOM Indonesia for maximizing its enterprise intellectual capital. This is the first time that TELKOM Indonesia has been recognized as a Global IOU MAKE Winner.

The Titan Company (JV Tata Group and Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation) India

The 2015 Global IOU MAKE panel recognized The Titan Company for innovation and new product development (first place), and transforming enterprise knowledge into shareholder/stakeholder value (first place). This is the second consecutive year that The Titan Company has been recognized as a Global IOU MAKE Winner.

United States National Aeronautics & Space Administration ((United States Government) United States

NASA is cited in this year’s Global IOU MAKE study for creating an environment for collaborative enterprise knowledge sharing (first place). This is the third time that NASA has been recognized as a Global IOU MAKE Winner.
