|Teleos, in association with The KNOW Network, has announced the Winners of the 2012 Asian Most Admired Knowledge Enterprises (MAKE) study. The 26 Asian MAKE Winners were recognized at a special Awards Ceremony at the 13th annual World Knowledge Forum, held in Seoul. Samsung SDS was recognized for the third time as the Overall Asian MAKE Winner.
A panel of Asian-based Fortune 500 senior executives and internationally recognized knowledge management / intellectual capital experts selected the Winners. The panel rated organizations against the MAKE framework of eight key knowledge performance dimensions - visible drivers of competitive advantage and intellectual capital growth:

Successfully managing enterprise knowledge yields big dividends. The 2012 Asian MAKE Winners' average Return on Revenues (ROR) was 14.5% - 3.9 times that of the Fortune 500 ROR company median. The average Return on Assets (ROA) for the 2012 Asian MAKE Winners was 9.7% - over 3.8 times that of the Fortune 500 ROA company median.
2012 Asian MAKE Hall of Fame
A total of 94 organizations have been named Asian MAKE Finalists since the Asian MAKE research began in 2002. And, of this group, only 56 organizations have been recognized as Asian MAKE Winners.
An even more select group of organizations form the 2012 Asian MAKE Hall of Fame. These 10 organizations have been Asian MAKE Finalists in each of the past five annual studies: Eureka Forbes, Infosys Limited, Korea Water Resources Corporation, MindTree Limited, POSCO, Samsung SDS, Tata Consultancy Services, Tata Steel, Toyota and Wipro Technologies.

The 2012 Asian MAKE panel has recognized the Asian Development Bank for developing knowledge-based products/services/solutions. This is the second time that the Asian Development Bank been recognized as an Asian MAKE Winner.

The 2012 Asian MAKE panel has recognized the Baoshan Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. for transforming enterprise knowledge into stakeholder value. This is the first time that Baoshan Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. been recognized as an Asian MAKE Winner.
According to a spokesman from Baosteel, "It is a great honor for Baosteel being awarded as one of the winners of the 2012 Asian MAKE Award. The 2012 Asian MAKE panel has recognized China Merchants Bank for creating value from customer knowledge. This is the first time that China Merchants Bank has been recognized as an Asian MAKE Winner.

The 2012 Asian MAKE panel has recognized China Merchants Securities Co., Ltd. for creating value from customer knowledge. This is the first time that China Merchants Securities Co., Ltd. has been recognized as an Asian MAKE Winner.

The 2012 Asian MAKE panel has recognized Eureka Forbes for creating value from customer knowledge. Eureka Forbes is a four-time Asian MAKE Winner.

The 2012 Asian MAKE panel has recognized the Hong Kong Productivity Council for developing knowledge workers through senior management leadership. This is the first time that the Hong Kong Productivity Council has been recognized as an Asian MAKE Winner.

The 2012 Asian MAKE panel has recognized Korea Water Resources Corporation (K-water) for maximizing enterprise intellectual capital. K-water is a five-time Asian MAKE Winner.
Vice President Wan-Kyu Kim of K-water, who is also the CKO (Chief Knowledge Officer), expressed his gratitude after receiving the recognition, saying: "I am delighted that K-water was honored with the Asian MAKE Award once again and it is a great chance for the management system of K-water to be developed on a global scale. The 2012 Asian MAKE panel has recognized Larsen & Toubro Hydrocarbon for creating value from customer knowledge (1st place). Larsen & Toubro Hydrocarbon is a four-time Asian MAKE Winner.

The 2012 Asian MAKE panel has recognized the Neusoft Corporation for developing knowledge-based products/services/solutions. This is the first time that the Neusoft Corporation has been recognized as an Asian MAKE Winner.

Samsung Electronics (South Korea)
The 2012 Asian MAKE panel has recognized Samsung Electronics for maximizing enterprise intellectual capital. Samsung Electronics is a two-time Asian MAKE Winner.
Samsung SDS (South Korea)
The 2012 Asian MAKE panel recognized Samsung SDS for creating a knowledge-driven enterprise culture (1st place), developing knowledge workers through senior management leadership (1st place), and organizational learning (1st place). Samsung SDS is an 11-time Asian MAKE Winner (including 2007, 2009 and 2012 Overall Asian MAKE Winner).

The 2012 Asian MAKE panel has recognized Siemens China Limited for creating a knowledge-driven enterprise culture. This is the second time that Siemens China Limited has been recognized as an Asian MAKE Winner.

Singapore Armed Forces (Singapore)
The 2012 Asian MAKE panel has recognized the Singapore Armed Forces for transforming enterprise knowledge into stakeholder value (1st place). The Singapore Armed Forces is a three-time Asian MAKE Winner (including 2010 Overall Asian MAKE Winner).
Brigadier General Lee Shiang Long, Head of Joint Communications and Information Systems (HJCIS) and Deputy Chief C4I of the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF), stated: "The Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) is honoured to receive the Asian Most Admired Knowledge Enterprise 2012 Award. The 2012 Asian MAKE panel has recognized Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) for creating value from customer knowledge, and transforming enterprise knowledge into stakeholder value. Tata Consultancy Services is an eight-time Asian MAKE Winner.

The 2012 Asian MAKE panel has recognized Toyota Astra Motor for creating value from customer knowledge. This is the second time that Toyota Astra Motor has been recognized as an Asian MAKE Winner.
United Tractors (Indonesia)
The 2012 Asian MAKE panel recognized United Tractors for developing knowledge-based products/services/solutions. United Tractors is a three-time Asian MAKE Winner.

The 2012 Asian MAKE panel recognized Wipro Technologies for creating a learning organization. Wipro Technologies is a 10-time Asian MAKE Winner.

The 2012 Asian MAKE panel has recognized Woods Bagot for its enterprise-wide collaborative knowledge sharing. Woods Bagot is a four-time Asian MAKE Winner.
