NASA Launches Technology-Sharing Portal    [Date Added : 06/28/2012 ]
The US National Aeronautics & Space Administration (NASA) has launched an Internet portal to accelerate technology transfer between the space agency and American business. The Technology Transfer Portal provides Web-based one-stop access to the agency's unique intellectual property assets.

"One of NASA's highest priority goals is to streamline its technology transfer procedures, support additional government-industry collaboration and encourage the commercialization of novel technologies flowing from our federal laboratories," says NASA Administrator Charles Bolden.

The portal is designed to simplify and accelerate access to the Agency's intellectual property portfolio, much of which is available for licensing. The portal includes a searchable, categorized database of NASA's patents.
